Description
In this one-day workshop, Dr. Micheline Vargas will discuss evidence showing the relationship between lifestyle therapies, neuroplasticity, and well-being. We will explore how diet, exercise and mind-body therapies improve mood, learning and cognition and reduce stress, depression and anxiety symptoms. Substantial amounts of research show lifestyle therapies support positive neuroplasticity and improve communication between the brain and body leading to improve emotional and physical well-being. In this workshop participants will learn how different types of exercise, dietary patterns, and mind-body therapies impact the brain, body and behavior. Validated assessment tools and practical application of the course material will also be discussed.
6 CE Core hours approved by the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, LPCA. Approval #8311-19.
