Haley Owens, LPC

As a licensed professional counselor, Haley is humbled to walk with people in the middle of their pain into a place of healing. She sees you as a whole person and not a diagnosis. She fosters an environment of safety and entering your adversity. Her goal is to help you on the journey to healing and hope.
Haley has worked at inpatient and outpatient settings. She has gained skills to help people struggling in crisis and stressful times. Haley counts it a privilege to sit with people as they share their stories and work toward life change.

Haley has a bachelor’s in biology from Kennesaw State University and graduated with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University.

She uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Exposure Response Prevention therapy and some other treatment modalities to help clients improve their well-being. If faith and spirituality is something clients are interested in then; she is a trained Christian Counselor. She uses the integrative approach to meet people where they are at. (The integrative approach uses both psychology and biblical principles to treat the people on a holistic level.)

She has a heart to see people improve their lives. Thus, she is motivated to create a safe place for expression. She is humbled and honored by the courage of individuals that seek help. She knows the counseling relationship can be recuperative. She likes to instill a sense of hope because it is never out of people’s reach.

Haley uses a variety of theoretical interventions including CBT, DBT, ERP, and is EMDR trained. She believes that therapy is not a one sizes fits all. She works with her clients to help find the best research-based interventions and therapy model for each client.

Haley’s areas of interest are Depression, Trauma, Grief, Anxiety, Boundaries, Communication, Relational Patterns, Spiritual Issues, Stress Management, Self-esteem, OCD
